This is a list of players who played in the NHL or AHL as of last year and have now moved on to the new Russian League the KHL (Kontinental Hockey League):
Salavat Yulaev: Radulov
Lokomotiv: Vasicek
Metallurg: Pilar
Ak Bars: Dubielewicz, Kapanen
CSKA: Khomutov
SKA: Zyuzin
Dynamo: Rachunek, Tolpeko
Severstal: Kwiatkowski, Krog
Atlant Mystichi: Emery
Avangard: Grahame, Jagr
Spartak: Baranka, Radivojevic, Ruzicka
Amur: Lampman, Wanvig
Vityaz: Simon
Dynamo Riga:Marcel Hossa, Ellison
Medvedev:Brylin
Bottom Line, Even with an agreement in place between the NHL and the Russian League I dont think it will matter. Truthfully for me a guy like Emery the NHL cant complain because theres no team in there league that would sign him. I realize the agreement is for the Russian teams to at least wait until the NHL players contract is up but they can still offer money and if a player wants he will get it. This now makes me wonder will NHL players even though they have a year or 2 left on there contract approach the Russian club for money?
