Ryan Clowe Could Be Already Signed?

Ryan Clowe, is a great player but is still rolling around the free agency market and I can only ask one question "What's Up?" I mean Clowe has gone through arbirtration and even though Doug Wilson has said the deal is pretty much done like dinner I've learned their has been a bunch of interest in the left wing.

You can call me a lunatic, but I've got a hunch that Ryan is already gone. I mean the Sharks only have 1.374 million cap space left and still have a handful of prospects to sign. Now something I know for real is that Clowe still hadn't picked the term of his new contract and I think why he's taking so long is cause another team is trying to poach him. If you look at some teams and their cap space it's ridiculous and in my mind the only way Mr. Clowe is getting what he deserves is if he signs with one of those teams. So as a fan I'd say "Stay Ryan" but as a respectful person I'd say "Go Somewhere Else" and that's the road I've decided to take.

Now I ask you all, what road who you take and why? Here are the two front-running teams according to my secret source:

1. Vancouver

2. Boston

Thanks folks,see you next time!

Tortorella not to coach the Isles?

Sources tell Scotty that the next Islanders coach will not be John Tortorella. The American coach had an interview with GM Garth Snow, and it looks like they could not agree on some key issues.

RFA Drama in Sens land

Good afternoon,

Well, with Vermette's Arbitration hearing coming ever so closer, rumors are floating everywhere that he will crack and sign or that Murray will crack and put in another offer. Either way, what I am hearing from a variety of sources is somewhat conflicting.

First, this morning I heard that Vermette has no intention of going to his hearing and was mulling over Murray's latest offer and we could see him signed within the next 24 hours; whereas at approximately 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, I was just told that Murray and Mezaros are nearing an agreement and that the details are being ironed out as I type this and that an announcement could be imminent. I've heard that the deal could be in the $3.5M range, where the term has not been given or 'leaked' yet.

Also, at the same time, a few websites are also reporting that Vermette will INDEED proceed to his hearing and come what may... Interesting times indeed, whether these 'rumors' are true or not, I expect something to be announced in Sens land within the next 48-72 hours.

Stay tuned...

Flyers Pitching Offer to Sundin ??

New rumor today has the Philadelphia Flyers making a huge offer to Mats Sundin. The Flyers dont have much room under the cap so if this happens they will definitely be making some moves.

The Bruins resign a pair

Two RFAs, left winger Nate Thompson and center Martin St.Pierre are still in the Bruins organization, when they signed on Monday, new deals with the Original Six team. The terms of the deals are unknown, but it is expected to be two-way deals, as both players played most of the time in the AHL last season.

Arkansas native, Thompson, played 75 games with Providence last season, scoring 19 goals and adding 20 assists for a total of 39 points. He also added 5 points in 10 playoffs games. Thompson was drafted at the 183th spot, on the 6th round at the 2003 entry draft.

As for St.Pierre, the Bruins obtained him in a minor deal with the Blackhawks, last week. Both team swapped prospect, as St.Pierre went to Bruins while the B's sent out Pascal Pelletier to Chicago. St.Pierre, a Ottawa native, played 5 games with Hawks last season, he did not registered a point and had a -3 rating. He also played 69 games in the AHL with Rockford, notching 21 goals and adding 67 assists. He was signed by Chicago as a free agent, in 2005.
