Nagy signs in Russia

Forward Ladislav Nagy has left the NHL after signing a contract with Cherepovets in the Russian Continential League. The terms of the deal have not been published.

Nagy, 29, played 38 games with the LA Kings last year. He recorded 9 goals and 17 assists for 26 points during a season that was plagued with injuries (it happens very year). Nagy played for St. Louis, Pheonix, Dallas and Los Angeles during his 10-year NHL career.

My take: Nobody was willing to take a chance on him because of his inconsistency and fragility. Nobody will miss Nagy, especially in fantasy leagues.

EDIT: The deal is a two-year contract worth $5.6 million, with an escape clause if Nagy is signed by an NHL team.

This isn't even fair anymore. Seriously, quit plagiarizing people's work!

If you're going to tell us that http://www.seversalclub.ru/ is on your daily RSS feed for just one of those sites you happen to check, you are full of it.

Give Andy Strickland credit where it's due, it wouldn't hurt to say "According to Andy Strickland,..."

Purely embarrassing.

Too bad I think the Leafs could have took a shot on Nagy , a one year deal would have made sense. The Leafs are going to be hurting for goals come November. Also everyone's favourite hockey rumor monger says that the return for mccabe is either Van Ryn or Allen and if it's Allen expect the Leafs to add more to the deal. Horrible

I am starting to like this KHL. They are doing the NHL a favor by getting rid of the overrated floaters and free-loaders. Every European player that goes back to play in Russia frees up a roster spot for a good Canadian/American boy to break into the show. Good riddance to bad rubbish. God I sound like Don Cherry!

Don Cherry must be smoking a cigar and drinking wine right now. :)
