After I posted a rumor last night from a penguins insider site I was not sure how to react. The Rumor was that Malkin may have been close to a 5 year deal and it is indeed the truth. TSN is reporting that Malkin and the Penguins are close to as 5 year deal that would pay the Russian star an average salary of 8.7 million per year.
