According to TheInsiderOnPittsburghSports.com Montreal Canadiens forward Alexei Kovalev Wants an extension before training camp begins. Sources tell TIOPS that hes seeking an extension of about 3 years.

I think Kovy truly has found his love for the game again so I don't think we will ever see "Old Kovy" back. With that said, I would be happier with a 2 year contract as Kovy is not getting any younger!
