It appears the Preds have turned the page on Radulov. Since it seems he won’t honor the last year of his contract and likely play in Russia ,to fill the gap left by Radulov the Predators are going to take a shot at both UFA’s Murray and Parrish according to the Tennessean. Let’s also keep in mind that Steve Sullivan might have to stay on the sideline for another season because of a back injury.
My take: If the Preds put their hands on both these players this might be just what the doctor ordered. Look for the Preds to be playoff contenders.

How does getting players who were released from other teams "make you a contender?"
These are mediocore players who can only improve your 4th line options.
that's not totally true.
if you look at a team like nashville, you see no real superstars. they are a team of pure grinders who have to hustle night in and night out. adding a guy like parrish with his scoring potential, and a grinding vet like glen murray really improve their chances of picking it up a notch. they really need to simply reinforce what they had from last season, and these two veteran role players can do just that.
let's not so soon forget that the predators made the playoffs last season with a team most of us were counting out from the get-go, even before ellis replaced mason.
to add to it, their name is being tossed around with tampa to trade for a few of their forwards. adding jokinen and maybe ouellet could be even bigger for this team.
