While I don't really like the guy he is now confirming what we have already stated that the Leafs are in on Bouwmeester. I would like to point out that Scotty and I were the 1st ones to come out with this rumor and would like people to realize that if this does happen people can finally give us the credit we deserve.
On to other news: There are a bunch of rumored spots for McCabe right now including the Islanders, Panthers, Penguins (Don't see this one happening) and the Rangers (No Cap Space)
I think Fletcher is right when he says the return would not be that significant and could only be a contract for contract swap. The Leafs would also more than likely get a low level prospect and or pick for McCabe.

anyone can report a player coming to the maple leafs. they are the center of all the hockey rumors.
Who really care who started the rumor first. I don't give a damn that you don't care for Eklund. What's important is credibility. If the rumor comes true than you will get praise.

Eklund is confirming YOUR Bouwmeester rumours? As far as I know, Ek first reported Bouwmeester to the Leafs rumours on July 23. I don't know if this was the first report of these rumours, nor do I care. They are rumours afterall, and it's not as if he is stepping out on a limb reporting these things.
All that said, I don't understand the need by bloggers or the people who post replies on either site to try to discredit the other. There are plenty of bored people (like myself) with plenty of time to waste reading both sites.
Update often, offer some interesting perspectives, and people will keep coming back to your site. If anything both sites should be promoting each other, just to keep up fan interest.

you say that your legit and refer to the Bouwmeester trade , which you included Mccabe and now you say that u expect Mccabe's return to not be very high. You are running around in circles.
I wouldn't be surprised if one of the "anonymous" commenters turns out to be Eklund. It has happened before (on the Peklund website) and it will surely happen again.

The first step should be to attempt to establish credibility, not to attack that of others.
Greg Thomson, in the real world of sports journalism, you've done a harsh wrong to someone who rightfully earned their information.
It seems as thought the Source can't take someone criticizing him...He can dish it out (like he does to Eklund) but can't take it!!!

that's not true. eklund has been posting this for a long time now.
all Eklund puts on his blogs are headlines with no stories....at least here they give a little detail....and unlike other bloggers....they respect the fans.
