this deal comes about 30 minutes after trading away there other goalie, Chris Mason to the St.Louis Blues.

My Take:Great job by the Preds locking up a goalie who will be a key contributer to there success this season and the seasons to come. Ellis should be a good teacher to up and coming goalie Pekka Rinne.

Agree. Probably an OK move for the Blues too, as they fill a pressing need.
Masse is a great guy but it doesn't make much since to me. Legace is a better goalie in my mind and chepaer too. Unless they have character problems, I wouldn't have made this move.
