First off, the rumored Leafs - Panthers deal is currently running rampant, I am also hearing that it includes Jay Bouwmeester, but the return would be much greater than McCabe, Steen and a Pick. I am doing some research on that. NOTE: it is not a done deal as of yet, anything can happen.
I have some Habs news, as you probably know by now, the Lang to MTl rumor is completely false, I have been told that Gainey WILL NOT pull out on the Sundin race until he gets confirmation from his camp that Sundin will not be signing there.
Reports are also saying that the Habs have an offer ready for Teemu Selanne should Sundin choose another route. Selanne is said to be interested in joining the Habs this time around as things arent looking to shady between Selanne and Burke. We could finally see Selanne in a Habs jersey. I will give you more as i hear it..
Shanahan has been in constant contact with the Blues and Pens today, decision could be coming SOON.

Yeah, i was eating timbits while typing so i wrote down timbits lol..dont ask me why, as for the Leafs rumor, I heard the Panthers obviously inquired about Schenn but that was turned down quickly, I am only hearing two names right now, White and Stralman. The deal would obviously include more players but those are the only two names ive heard so far..
Really.....but is it just Bouwmeester coming to TO or is there players coming with him......i hope they don't send Stralman....he's a corner piece of the d-core that's being built...i know J.B would fill it but i'd like to see some solid chemistry with the d-lines......Frogren would be lost w/o a similiar face.
Plus white would of been at best a PK guy or a rotating 7th D-man....
So let me get this straight your saying the Panthers are asking for .. Mccabe, Steen,White or Stralman and a draft pick for Bouwmeester. This would be the stupidest trade in the world for both teams. Toronto gives up way too much , Florida doesn't address any of thier needs. Makes no sense.
I'm sure that Florida would be giving up more I have heard David Booths name thrown around
it might be obvious, but in your opinion is this a good move for the leafs. feel free to include different trade senerios.
David Booth is a great addition....so what if we loose White (praying not Stralman)then i'm good with that.
White i don't think has any real value, he is still young but like you said he is a 7th dman on most teams. I could see a deal like this..

Just got off the phone with one of my sources and he told me that Pittsburgh is shopping Malkin, possible destinations include Montreal and Edmonton. Players rumored to be involded on the Montreal side are Komisarek and Andrei Kotsitsyn...
