As per rds.ca, Mats Sundin will announce on August 1st if he will play in 2008-2009 or simply go into retirement. As we all know the Vancouver Canucks are eagerly awaiting his decision, after offering a much publicized 2 year contract worth a whopping 20 million dollars. Sunday, the swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported that Sundin had accepted the Vancouver offer.That rumor was cast aside by Mats himself on Monday. Toronto and the Montreal Canadiens are also both reportedly still in the running for his services. The suspense continues...
